Who We Are. ..

We’ve built a nonprofit model to replace government welfare. It’s based on voluntary giving, local control, and personal responsibility. The system consists of a thrift store and a small civic lodge working in tandem to meet needs directly, without government involvement.

The store accepts donated goods and financial contributions. Items are either redistributed to those in need or sold to fund charitable programs and community events. Donations support essentials like food, clothing, home goods, and emergency assistance. The lodge exists to identify needs, maintain standards, and ensure the work reflects the values of the community it serves.

Our goal is to scale this model nationwide. Each chapter operates independently, funded and governed by its own town. Where government programs once intervened, neighbors now step in. We aim to end state managed welfare by proving that local people can care for their own; better, faster, and with dignity intact.

Nothing wasted. No one left behind.

Message From The Founder. ..

Building Something New, Together

Dekens Community Store isn’t just about secondhand goods, it’s about first chances. Our mission is to create a self reliant, locally supported space where neighbors help neighbors meet their everyday needs with dignity and respect.

We are in the early stages of launching this nonprofit effort. We’re assembling our founding board, seeking legal guidance, and preparing our application for 501(c)(3) tax exempt status. While we are not yet a registered 501(c)(3), your early support helps demonstrate our vision and fuels the groundwork for opening our doors.
